Lichess v2 is here

@zakk87

1. If the majority will never speak, then let's stop talking about "the majority".

2. I am fine with going forward. The fact that some users might be unable to use it has been taken into account, and yes, I am 100% fine with that. (Even the original post mentioned, for example, that users who can't (or won't) update their browsers will not be able to use the site.) No matter what you do, you CANNOT please everyone.

3. I bet that in a few days this negative frenzy will have died out and tons of people will go back to enjoying Lichess. Some might indeed leave (and here I can *guarantee* it's an absolute minority!). Others will come, attracted by the new layout, speed improvements etc. But the platform will evolve and allow the rest to have a better overall experience.

4. And finally, as it was already said countless times by many: give the developers TIME to take the feedback into account and fix what needs to be fixed. Don't be hasty, Master Merriadoc! ;)
In a tournament , I can not see my games( if I click in my name in a tournament ) and I have to go to my profile to see them which is really bad know why ? Because my profile by the time will have more games and it is really hard and becoming harder ( in the end impossible) to see my old games , I really need to see sometimes my old big important tournaments games , so really needed to see the games from the tournament link not searching for ages in my profile and not finding may be any thing , please fix this problem
A site I use every day, I usually don't like changed, but this v2 is good for me already.
Design is ok, but above all the loading feels much faster.
It was well tested. Unless you get a bug, give it some time for you to enjoy it.
I use not so old browsers, but I can not influence the size of the board at all. That's just terrible. The board generally takes everything in full screen - imgur.com/a/UPW43aQ
I understand everyone wants everyone to switch to the latest versions of everything. And on Win 10 1903 with a system disk at 32 GB minimum. But still .. I understand all users of win xp must change their system for the sake of chess. This is incredible.
Someone posted a poll on another thread, thought it would be worth posting here too: www.strawpoll.me/17940872/r

Out of nearly 300 responses so far, 90% of people prefer v1 to v2 . For me, everything in v2 just looks way too big. I don't see why Lichess don't update the code but keep the old design. The old design was not outdated (I work in web design) and worked really well. The interface was minimal and not distracting. This new one is jarring and too in your face.
The decision have been taken, OK, but the survey is an eloquent feedback.
I agree that it looks cool on new systems, on mobile devices, on tablets, etc. But all people use slightly outdated software ... They do not use it because they are poor. Older systems are more flexible, they are usually used by more advanced people. But once there is no turning back, they all have to look for a special system just for the sake of chess. I do not think this is something unfair. Lichess has long surpassed all. And I accept it with humility. We'll have to return when the opportunity arises. I remember the site in 2015 when it was quite simple and already then it was the coolest.
