looking for strong players to play a game of rapid chess 25 mins

@Hatchet:

yes, there is indeed "an extremely close connection between sarcasm and irony", thats what I mentioned in my last sentence.

We arent able to make linguistic essays here, so I think its ok if we just make clear that my examples are not wrong but also not the only way to understand and to use rhetorical forms. For me thats clear as water but not for everyone as it seems.

Best wishes

Nada, I'm sorry that everyone decided to argue about your use of the word "irony" instead of attacking your actual point, which is what they should have, because it's absurd.

There is no reason not to call out a cheater when they make a forum post about how great they are and want games with strong players then claim they are not a cheater when they win every game flawlessly and machine-like in no time; this is called entertainment when they themselves make a fool of themselves by basically outing themselves

The problem isn't talking about cheating, the problem is directing undue attention toward cheaters. People who cheat have a need for attention. First they get that attention by being "good" at something when they really aren't and are able to fake an ego and draw all sorts of praise or angst toward themselves; then once they are caught, don't give them a second degree of satisfaction by calling attention to their games and hanging their head on display for the world. It entices them to continue.
