The question is in the title. At what point did you stop improving by only playing or studying passively (such as watching commentators on youtube etc)?

Good question. I’ve asked this to myself multiple times already.

That’s a lot of books if not too much honestly. You gotta have the time to actually play and practice, otherwise reading them will lead to absolutely no improvements at all IMO.

Can anyone send where they learned this? I have seen many videos from multiple GMs. I somewhat get the concepts but can’t apply them. Literally tried for hours now through lichess’ trainer. I cant see…

Train tactics. Playing slow will help surely but if you get bored easily like I do it’s not a viable solution tbh.
