I am confused. Yesterday I beat a guy with a 1920 rating. He lost 114 on his ELO and I only gained 11? How does this work. Some times people weaker than me lose a lot on their ELO when they lose against me. Can someone please explain.
He lost lots of elo because his rating was still provisional/new and the rating will change greatly at that beginning point.
You on the other hand gained 11 because you are already have an established rating(you have many games).
