Playing several games at once

I often play long casual games with my friends, and I sometimes i would like to play a blitz or bullet game while waiting. It would also be nice if you wanted to play several classical games at once.

Is there a reason that it is not allowed to play several games at once? I would really love this possibility, and I do not think there are any drawbacks.

There is nothing preventing you from playing several games at once for as far as I know.

When I am playing a game and open a new tab to play another game, the real time challenges are covered by a text that says something like this: "You are already playing a game" And then you can choose to resign or join the game. However, I have discovered that I am able to play in a tournament while playing another game, but I can´t accept any real time challenges

But if you ignore the message, you can play both games just fine right? I've just tried it, and had no problems playing two games at the same time.
