I think it would be awesome to actually see the "pool", when requesting a quick game.
A proper pool should always be a complete black box IMHO, to prevent players from cherry-picking opponents.
This has already been tried and was one of the reasons the previous attempt at auto-pairing pools failed miserably. I don't consider this current iteration an attempt at proper auto-pairing pools (due to the fact that each pool doesn't have its own rating, etc.), but having the pool be visible would cause massive stagnation again, at worst, and allow cherry-picking opponents at best, neither of which is remotely desirable.
