Hello, I just played a nice game but unfortunately in a complicated position my opponent blundered their knight.
I wanted to offer a takeback as it was interesting, but I had something like 3min left while they had 8 in a 10+0min game.
I would have liked to continue the game without the blunder, but given I spent more time analysing the position and double checking what I was doing in order to not blunder. It felt unfair to give them a takeback and be losing while I pay the "no blunders" with time.
I would have liked to settle on additional time increment, perhaps a "takeback but set your time equal to your opponents", so either they have a penalty and have 3min left like me, or I gain a bonus and have 8min like theirs.
Or a feature that if I accept a takeback from them, I'l be guaranteed a takeback when i'l need one.
I'm disappointed to have won that way. But I'm not sure a takeback would have been fair.
Hope you understand :)
Cheers.
