Bug: Ratings broken / inconsistent during game & outside game.

After the update today, it seems that the ratings are broken -

Outside the game, if I click on my profile, or on the home page, my rating is 1233.

If I start a game, my rating displayed in the box is 1348!

This is easy to repro - just start a game, and watch your rating jump a 100+ points!
Ah - it seems that outside the game, the "Standard" rating is displayed. But during the game it displays the "Classic" rating. So I guess its a "feature" . XD

It's mentioned near the end of the release notes: http://en.lichess.org/blog/U9b5RDIAADEAU3yM/july-updates

"Ratings are displayed differently. Previously, in (for example) a blitz game, only your Global rating would appear. This has been changed so your Blitz rating is the main rating shown. This will be updated later to be more self-explanatory, but for now:

-In Standard games, the rating specific to the time control is shown (Bullet, Blitz, Classical).

-In Variants (Chess960, KotH), the variant rating is shown.

-In Pool games (1+0, 3+0, 5+0, and 5+5 Pools), the pool rating is shown."
Just saw that! One thing isn't clear though - I've played only classical games, but my classical and standard ratings are different!
Because your opponents, and your opponents' opponents, didn't strictly play classical time controls. Ratings are a function of your and your opponent's rating, that's why they aren't the same.
Aha! So there really was a bug! Today I log in and both the ratings that are shown on screen during a game are the same! So I was right! XD
Also my rating has gone up! Does that mean that I am a better player than I thought I was ?

What does the new rating mean ? It seems pretty meaningless if you have nothing to compare it to. If the rating system stays the same you can tell if you're improving or not. But if everyones rating improves then its just a number that doesn't mean that much. How do you compare ?
