Other time control?

I am quite new to the site, but I am loving it. Now that I've reached something similar to my ICC rating (1900~ there), I know I will enjoy lichess much much more =)

I do have an idea that could give lichess an advantage over other sites (Only used ICC and Chess.com). Maybe you could implement other time control formats? Like 40 minutes for 40 moves?
I had also thought of this... amount of time for x moves would be a useful addition (though would be hard to look for games as it is another factor to consider when searching/filtering
Nice idea.......We could have 2-4 minutes for 40 moves in bullet games, 5-10 minutes for blitz and more than 10 minutes for classical.
Thanks to the passionate players, Lichess is original.
It may have similar ideas like tactic problems and tournaments but the pool idea was truly original.
I believe it is time for pools to reappear, but with well known timing increments and narrowing down the groups to within a four category of players:
Class «A» plays with only class A (greater than >1800); class B (+1600) with B, Class C (+1400) and Class D (less than <1399).
After all, we come to play chess and expect to win and lose some.
Maybe use some sort of preferred standard timing: (Derived from some sort of Lichess statistics)
Classical (Semi-Rapid Tournaments): 15 minutes + 5 second mate (I think this is the new standard for students and will help everyone to get into the habit of concentrating)
Blitz (Armageddon): 6 minutes Black, 5 minutes white.
Blitz (Standard): 3 minutes + 2 seconds mate (used in pools and normal hourly tournaments.
Bullet (Lightning): Not used in pools to permit to have normal hourly tournaments.
Maybe a pool to discover different timings like the Bronstein delays and Fischer delayed timings. Now that would be original too.
